Good news! Library guest access for alumni is now free. Just bring your alumni association card and a photo ID to the User Services desk (the one right in the lobby) to get signed up. This includes circulation privileges (5 books at a time for 28 days) and access to the computers in the Info Arcade. You can also browse our physical books, make photocopies, visit the UAH Archives and Special Collections, or ask for assistance at the Research Help Desk.
Wifi access is a campus-wide privilege, not something that the library provides. For alumni who are coming to campus, the alumni association can provide access (technically, OIT provides the access) as per the link at the bottom of this page https://www.uah.edu/alumni/engage-with-uah/services (Note that the instructions indicate that this request should be submitted two weeks prior to your visit.)
You will not be able to access the databases remotely. Our licenses allow us to extend access to on-campus guests but not off-campus. Some of our databases are provided by AVL (http://www.avl.lib.al.us), which is available to anyone in Alabama with internet access. Depending on what online research you are doing, that might help to provide access to what you need without having to come to campus to retrieve it.
