Books we have (but are checked out) are one of the categories of materials not available through Interlibrary Loan. From the ILL FAQ on "What Materials are not available through ILL?":  "...books owned by UAH but checked out; e-books; entire periodical issues; materials for reserve or group use; reference books; textbooks; and items that violate copyright guidelines."

You can, however, put a hold on the book so that when it is checked back in, you will be able to get it before it is returned to the stacks. This also prevents the person who has it from renewing it further.
