With the ebooks, they "check out" as you click on the "URL" in the book's description. I put that in quotes because for most of them, that is the text literally shown. This will send you to the book's page in Ebsco's e-book collection.  As you view the book's full text, the book is "assigned" to you, meaning only you can look at it for that time period. After about 30 minutes to an hour of you no longer looking at the book, it goes back into the digital circulation.

We now also offer the ability to download selected eBooks.  You will need to login to your free EBSCO account and also download Adobe Digital Editions to your computer.  Once you've installed Adobe Digital Editions, you can check out the eBook for 1-7 days, your choice.  The book will "expire" after the checkout period has passed and you will no longer be able to view it within Adobe Digital Editions.
