When you go to our catalog (http://librarycatalog.uah.edu) you will get a series of search fields that you can fill in. The first one is set to "Words and Phrases". Set the second one to the same (click the dropdown box). In the first search box, enter "Ancient Rome". In the second, put "Politics". And then click search.

What you'll find is a number of diffrent call numbers (depending on which discipline it is coming from). If you notice, though, there are several from DG. DG is the Library of Congress Classification for Italian history, and the early numbers (from about DG100-DG500/DG800) will look at Ancient Roman history.

If you need just physical books and not ebooks, then you can scroll down to where it says Type, and change that to BOOK. Do this before you click search.
